Resumen En los últimos años se ha incrementado en forma importante y significativa la investigación y el interés por profundizar en el conocimiento de la fisiología que soporta los enlaces de la red psiconeuroinmunológica y su relación posible con los procesos de salud y enfermedad. En este artículo se efectúa una revisión de esta red fisiológica como paso previo a futuras investigaciones. Se propone un contexto evolutivo y se toma el stress como eje central del análisis, ya que en esta respuesta converge la acción de los diferentes sistemas psicobiológicos implicados en las enfermedades crónicas que caracterizan al mundo actual. Abstract Last years, the research and interest in deepening the knowledge of physiology supporting the psychoneuroimmunological network links and its possible relation to health and sickness processes have been increasing in an important and significant way. In this article, a review of this physiological network is made as a previous step for future researching. An evolution context is proposed and stress is taken as the central point of analysis because the action of different psychobiologicaI systems involved in chronic diseases characteristic of present world converges in this response.
