The roadmap is a technological tool, which in English means "road map or roadmap" and in information and communication technologies, it is known as a technological itinerary. It is a support tool at the business level that can be adapted and used in the educational field; but especially in the planning of vocational guidance activities. In this last area, it allows counselors to create activity routes to guide students about the career they want to study once they have completed their studies at the General Secondary Education level. Hence, the purpose of this essay was to analyze the use of the roadmap as a technological tool for planning in vocational guidance, through the organization of tasks to guide students in the knowledge of the career of their choice, according to their abilities and interests. Therefore, the counselor and his work team must take advantage of this innovative technological tool by integrating a virtual guide into their physical space, which helps them generate a creative interaction of their planned actions through the technological roadmap.El roadmap, es una herramienta tecnológica, que en inglés significa “mapa de carretera u hoja de ruta” y en las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, se le conoce como itinerario tecnológico. Es una herramienta de apoyo a nivel empresarial que puede adaptarse y ser utilizada en el campo educativo; pero especialmente en la planeación de actividades de orientación vocacional. En esta última área, permite a los orientadores crear rutas de actividades para guiar a los estudiantes acerca de la carrera que desean estudiar una vez culminados sus estudios en el nivel de Educación Media General. De allí que, el presente ensayo, tuvo como propósito analizar el uso del roadmap como una herramienta tecnológica, para la planificación en la orientación vocacional, a través de la organización de tareas para guiar a los estudiantes en el conocimiento de la carrera de su elección, según sus capacidades e intereses. Por lo tanto, el orientador y su equipo de trabajo, deben aprovechar esta innovadora herramienta tecnológica integrando en su espacio físico una guía virtual, que les ayude a generar una interacción creativa de sus acciones planificadas a través del roadmap tecnológico.
