A documentary and bibliographical review was carried out by consulting scientific articles in scientific databases corresponding to the period between 2014-2022 referring to the development of technological tools such as virtual reality, augmented reality and robotics, which are tools that are key to the generation of technological skills in professionals in the agro-industrial field in Colombia. From this review, an analysis of the importance of pedagogy was carried out, for the generation of knowledge in aspects based on the use of technological tools. For this, several aspects will be addressed, such as which are the most used technological tools and whose applications are feasible in the agro-industrial field, what are the pedagogical strategies for teaching these skills, which are the key sectors of the Colombian agro-industrial sector that would benefit from the acquisition of these abilities and skills, what is the capacity and disposition of the Colombian agro-industrial sector for the adoption of technological innovations and what impact will these innovations have on the development of the sector. The analysis of the aspects addressed in this essay leads to the conclusion that the new skills of the agro-industrial professional in Colombia must have a high component of technological development in such a way as to generate more capacities that lead to a sustained growth of the sector in the near future.Se llevó a cabo una revisión documental y bibliográfica mediante la consulta de artículos científicos en bases de datos científicas correspondientes al lapso comprendido entre 2014-2022 referidas al desarrollo de herramientas tecnológicas como lo son la realidad virtual, realidad aumentada y la robótica, las cuales son herramientas que son claves para la generación de competencias tecnológicas en los profesionales del campo agroindustrial en Colombia. A partir de esta revisión se realizó un análisis de la importancia de la pedagogía, para la generación de conocimientos en aspectos basados en el uso de herramientas tecnológicas. Para ello se abordaran varios aspectos tales como cuales son las herramientas tecnológicas más usadas y cuya aplicaciones son factibles en el campo agroindustrial, cuáles son las estrategias pedagógicas para la enseñanza de estas competencias, cuáles son los sectores claves del sector agroindustrial colombiano que serían beneficiados con la adquisición de estas habilidades y destrezas, cual es la capacidad y disposición del sector agroindustrial colombiano para la adopción de las innovaciones tecnológicas y que impacto tendrán estas innovaciones sobre el desarrollo del sector. El análisis de los aspectos abordados en este estudio lleva a la conclusión que las nuevas competencias del profesional agroindustrial en Colombia deben tener un alto componente de desarrollo tecnológico de tal manera de generar más capacidades que lleven en un futuro cercano a un crecimiento sostenido del sector.
