The purpose of the research was to analyze, based on the versions of its executives, the Social Responsibility management processes of three Non­Governmental Organizations ofthe health sector of the estado Lara, Ascardio Alaplaf and the Cruz Roja, from the Sustainable Human Development approach. It is a qualitative research with interpretativeparadigmatic posture with a phenomenological­hermeneutical approach. The technique of gathering information was the in­depth interview, and the data was interpreted from thehermeneutics of the managers' versions. For the analysis of the information, theoretical triangulation was made of the information obtained, the categories and the informants'versions. Among the findings, it is highlighted that Social Responsibility in NGOs is conceived, even without explicitly establishing it in its management philosophy, as a commitment with workers, the community, users and society in general, in line with the economic dimensions, Social and Environmental Development of Sustainable Human Development and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. In addition, the NGOs in their more than four decades of operation have managed to sustain themselves financially even in the times of humanitarian emergency that Venezuela is going through.La investigación tuvo como propósito analizar, desde las versiones de sus ejecutivos, los procesos de gerencia de responsabilidad social de tres organizaciones no gubernamentales del sector salud del estado Lara: Ascardio, Alaplaf y Cruz Roja, desde el enfoque del desarrollo humano sustentable. Es una investigación cualitativa con postura paradigmática interpretativa con un abordaje fenomenológico­hermenéutico. La técnica de recolección de información fue la entrevista a profundidad, y los datos fueron interpretados desde la hermenéutica de las versiones de los gerentes. Para el análisis de la información, se hizo triangulación de la información obtenida de las entrevistas para elaborar las categorías. Entre los hallazgos se destaca que la responsabilidad social en las oenegés es concebida, aun sin establecerlo explícitamente en su filosofía de gestión, como un compromiso con los trabajadores, la comunidad, los usuarios y la sociedad en general, a tono con las dimensiones económica, social y ambiental del desarrollo humano sustentable y los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. Además, las oenegés en sus más de cuatro décadas de funcionamiento han logrado autosustenerse financieramente, aun en los tiempos de emergencia humanitaria que atraviesa Venezuela.
