En el Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos no existe acuerdo en torno a la posibilidad de reclamar la ejecución de las obligaciones que se derivan del derecho al medio-ambiente, toda vez que ninguno de los instrumentos jurídicos del Sistema advierte su carácter exigible. En este sentido, la exigibilidad del derecho al medio-ambiente sólo puede reposar en la interpretación conjunta del artículo 26 y 9 de la Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos, sobre el deber de adoptar providencias para lograr progresivamente la efectividad de los derechos económicos, ociales y culturales; y la regla de interpretación pro homine, espectivamente.Inside the Inter-American System of Human Rights doesn't exists agreement about the possibility of demanding the execution of the obligations that derive from the environment human right, taking into account that any of the legal instruments of the System notices its exigible character. In this sense, the exigibility of the environment human right rest in the joint interpretation of article 26 and 29 of the American Convention on Human Rights, on having to adopt measures that progressively obtain the effectiveness of the economic, social and cultural rights; and the interpretation rule pro homine about the consecrated rights in the Convention, respectively
