Resumen
This research aimed at the development of a tourism product for Sumaco village, Quijos canton, Napo province; which was done through analytical, descriptive and field, methods, collecting primary and secondary information. The research was carried out in five stages: in the first stage, commercial viability was determined, where tourism demand, market segmentation and the sample were analyzed; in the second stage, the technical productive viability was established based on the following criteria: a) the size and location of the project, b) the identification of the most relevant attractions and their characteristics, c) the design of flow charts for tourism activities, d) the identification of the services necessary for the operation, and e) the requirements of the productive area; In the third stage, environmental feasibility was determined using the Lázaro Lagos matrix, which determines the baseline of the environmental components; in the fourth stage, legal administrative feasibility was determined, which be worked on jointly with those involved in the communitive through participatory workshops; and finally, in the fifth stage, economic and financial feasibility was established to determine the investment budget, sources of financing, and amortization of fixed assets. In addition, seven tourist attractions were identified, where the product was economically profitable having an internal rate return of 37%, Benefit/Cost Ratio of $2.29 the recovery time en the 5 years of useful life. To sum, the project is feasible, whose purpose contributes of the development of tourism in Sumaco village and Quijos Canton, recommending the socialization of the project taking advantage of the tourist potentialities that the village presents at the same time generating employment.
