Resumen
This research suggests the improvement of the Syngas by taking advantage of the Forest Biomass
(Sawdust) and the Rice Husk (CA). It was obtained using the DOWDRAFT type gasifier of the
Mechanics Faculty. In addition, it is an environmental sustainability impact for the Polytechnic
community that contributes to economic development, in which the mixtures of biomass are
analyzed to obtain high-efficiency Syngas. It was achieved with the support of the team of
teachers and students of the Industrial Maintenance career through direct observation and
scheduled meetings with the strategy of producing the Syngas of productivity. During the Syngas
characterization proposal, the objective was to study and analyze the state of the art on a mixture
of (BF) and (CA). Combinations in different percentages of two different biomasses of the
following 75% (Sawdust)/25% (Rice Husk), 50% (Sawdust)/50% (Rice Husk), and 25%
(Sawdust)/75% (rice husk). As a result of the activities proposed, the development of the
characterization mainly of the Syngas was evidenced. One of the interests that existed is academic
and the use of biomass as a renewable energy source. With the production of the Syngas of the
different mixtures, it was possible to visualize the quality of the Syngas, thus achieving energy
efficiently and cleanly for the environment. With the analyses acquired from the Syngas samples'
chromatography laboratory, it was possible to determine the quality and interpretation of the
calorific value; the Syngas with the best characteristics is the first combination since it had a high
percentage of moles of Hydrogen and its upper and lower calorific value of 7,788MJ/m3 and
6,586MJ/m3 respectively.
