Frecuencia de necrosis en pacientes con pie diabético que asisten al Hospital General del Norte de Guayaquil IESS los Ceibos.

Resumen
El pie diabético es una complicación crónica de la diabetes caracterizada por
un daño tisular profundo en las extremidades inferiores asociado con una
enfermedad vascular y de los nervios periféricos. Objetivo: Determinar la
frecuencia de necrosis en pacientes con pie diabético que asisten al Hospital
General del Norte de Guayaquil IESS los Ceibos. Metodología: Descriptiva,
cuantitativa, transversal, retrospectiva. Población: 226 pacientes con pie
diabético. Resultados: La frecuencia de necrosis de pie diabético, para el año
2019 fue del 77,40% y para el año 2020 fue del 72,50%. Características
sociodemográficas: Sexo: Masculino: 56,33% y femenino 47,67%. Edad el
90,8% tienen más de 51 años, seguido del 6,6% entre 46 a 50 años. Etnia:
97,82% mestizos. Región procedente 94,32% Costa. Manifestaciones
clínicas. 71,62% fiebre, 62,01% malestar general, 58,52% dolor, 12,23%
edema, 2,15% ampolla, 0,87% secreción purulenta y 0,44% sepsis.
Localización de la necrosis de pie diabético: 33,2% en falanges proximales, el
22,3% falanges distales, 21,0% metatarsos, 14,0% falanges mediales, 6.1%
tarsos, 2,2% planta de pie y 1,3% pie completo. Tratamiento empleado: 76,0%
limpiezas de extracción de tejido muerto, seguido del 17% amputaciones
parciales y al 7% amputaciones totales del pie. Conclusiones: La necrosis en
pacientes con pie diabético, sigue siendo una problemática en los sistemas de salud. The diabetic foot is a chronic complication of diabetes characterized by deep

The frequency of diabetic foot necrosis for the year 2019 was 77.40% and for
the year 2020 it was 72.50%. Sociodemographic characteristics: Sex: Male:
56.33% and female 47.67%. Age 90.8% are over 51 years old, followed by
6.6% between 46 and 50 years old. Ethnicity: 97.82% mestizo. Region from
94.32% Coast. Clinical manifestations. 71.62% fever, 62.01% malaise,
58.52% pain, 12.23% edema, 2.15% blister, 0.87% purulent discharge and
0.44% sepsis. Location of diabetic foot necrosis: 33.2% in proximal phalanges,
22.3% distal phalanges, 21.0% metatarsals, 14.0% medial phalanges, 6.1%
tarsals, 2.2% sole and 1.3% full cake. Treatment used: 76.0% cleaning to
extract dead tissue, followed by 17% partial amputations and 7% total foot
amputations. Conclusions: Necrosis in patients with diabetic foot continues
to be a problem in health systems.
