El presente trabajo consistió en realizar un análisis evolutivo de las redes de acceso de fibra óptica GPON y XGPON. El capítulo 1 se describen trabajos relacionados con el tema como antecedentes del problema de investigación, así como también, la definición y justificación del problema a investigar, después se plantean tanto el objetivo general como los objetivos específicos, en el que se incluye la hipótesis y metodología aplicada. Mientras, que en el capítulo 2 se realiza la descripción teórica fundamental de los beneficios de la fibra óptica, desventajas, arquitecturas de FTTx, redes ópticas activas y pasivas, así como la arquitectura e infraestructura de las redes ópticas pasivas. Finalmente, en el capítulo 3 se realiza el análisis de las redes de acceso mediante la evolución de las redes ópticas pasivas (PON), redes ópticas pasivas de próxima generación (NG-PON) y redes XG-PON. Se revisaron las tecnologías, arquitecturas, escenarios de migración, coexistencia, mecanismos de transmisión y sus comparativas tecnológicas.The present work consisted in carrying out an evolutionary analysis of GPON and XGPON fiber optic access networks. Chapter 1 describes works related to the topic as background of the research problem, as well as the definition and justification of the problem to be investigated, then the general objective as well as the specific objectives are presented, in which the hypothesis and applied methodology. Meanwhile, in chapter 2, the fundamental theoretical description of the benefits of fiber optic, disadvantages, FTTx architectures, active and passive optical networks, as well as the architecture and infrastructure of passive optical networks is made. Finally, in Chapter 3 the analysis of the access networks is performed through the evolution of passive optical networks (PON), next generation passive optical networks (NG-PON) and XG-PON networks. The technologies, architectures, migration scenarios, coexistence, transmission mechanisms and their technological comparatives were reviewed.
