dc.descriptionCommunication skills conceive the ability of a human being to prosper in a society. In the technical-university training it turns out to be an essential characteristic linked to verbal and non-verbal communication, since what an individual wants to transmit will depend on the appropriate communication strategies according to the field in which it operates; a student acquires communication skills when it is directly related to reading comprehension, textual production and oral communication in their professional training. The objective of this study was to improve communication skills in technical-professional university students through a workshop on leveling communication skills during the months of March-July of the year 2021. A study with a quantitative approach of cross-sectional descriptive design is used. The sample is made up of 1226 first-year technical-professional training students. An input diagnostic questionnaire was applied. Three evaluations referring to reading comprehension, text production and oral communication were carried out. The results showed a high improvement in the level of communicative competences at the end of the workshop. It is concluded that the communicative skills leveling workshop is a significant and essential sociocultural factor in the academic life of university students as part of their professional training.en-US
dc.descriptionLas Competencias comunicativas conciben la capacidad que posee un ser humano para prosperar en una sociedad. En la formación técnico-universitaria resulta ser una característica esencial vinculada a la comunicación verbal y no verbal, pues lo que un individuo quiera trasmitir va a depender de las estrategias comunicativas apropiadas según el ámbito en que se desenvuelva; un estudiante adquiere habilidades comunicativas cuando se relaciona directamente a la comprensión lectora, producción textual y comunicación oral en su formación profesional. El objetivo de este estudio fue mejorar las habilidades comunicativas en estudiantes universitarios de formación técnico-profesional mediante un taller de nivelación de competencias comunicativas durante los meses marzo-julio del año 2021. Se emplea un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo de diseño descriptivo transversal. La muestra se compone de 1226 estudiantes de primer año de formación técnico-profesional. Se aplicó un cuestionario diagnóstico de entrada. Se ejecutaron tres evaluaciones referentes a comprensión lectora, producción de textos y comunicación oral. Los resultados mostraron una alta mejoría en el nivel de competencias comunicativas en la finalización del taller. Se concluye que el taller de nivelación de competencias comunicativas es un factor sociocultural significativo e imprescindible en la vida académica de los estudiantes universitarios como parte de su formación profesional.es-ES
