dc.descriptionEl Mal de Pott es una presentación de la tuberculosis extrapulmonar. Los datos clínicos más comunes que puede presentar son: dolor, limitación funcional, contractura muscular, fiebre nocturna, en etapas avanzadas presenta una giba dorsal, absceso vertebral y alteración neurológica. Con mayor frecuencia afecta las articulaciones intervertebrales torácicas y lumbares. Se describe el caso clínico de paciente de 60 años que manifiesta cuadro clínico de dolor lumbar que irradia a extremidad inferior derecha, imposibilitando la bipedestación y deambulación.  Se solicita radiografía de columna lumbar, en donde presenta pinzamiento de L4, L5 y Resonancia Magnética en la que se observó signos sugestivos de Mal de Pott. El diagnóstico es complejo y el pronóstico dependerá del diagnóstico precoz evitando así complicaciones vertebrales irreversibles.es-ES
dc.descriptionPott's disease is a presentation of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. The most common clinical data that can be presented are: pain, functional limitation, muscular contracture, night fever, in advanced stages it presents a dorsal gib, vertebral abscess and neurological alteration. Most often it affects the thoracic and lumbar intervertebral joints. We describe the clinical case of a 60-year-old patient who manifests a clinical picture of low back pain that radiates to the lower right limb, making it impossible to stand and walk. Lumbar spine radiography is requested, where it has an impingement of L4, L5 and Magnetic Resonance in which signs suggestive of Mal de Pott were observed. The diagnosis is complex and the prognosis will depend on the early diagnosis thus avoiding irreversible vertebral complications.en-US
