Resumen
The objective of this research is to explore and analyze the concept and pedagogical
possibilities of street art like didactic device in the subject of Cultural and Artistic Education
(ECA). It arises from experiences like teacher at ECA, and also from the work of more than
ten years like street artist. These experiences have led to knowing and analyzing different
educational contexts, diagnosing some common problems in the ECA area; which, with the
help of artistic work, have allowed street art projects to be transferred from the streets to the
classrooms; making it possible to explore different applied didactic strategies such as graffiti,
mural painting, and others. These techniques and experiences are explored and analyzed in
correlation with the Foucault´s device concept; and they allow to establish the concept of street
art as a didactic device in the ECA subject; exploring through a qualitative research
methodology, the theoretical foundation for these artistic and pedagogical experiences, and
quantitatively analyzing significant information regarding a better aesthetic and creative
development in superior basic students.
