Resumen
Dual education is an innovative academic proposal that takes advantage of the resources of
the company, education and students, and integrates them cooperatively. The objective of this
article is to determine the entrepreneurial intention in dual training students of the Business
Administration career at a public university in Ecuador, Universidad de Cuenca. A bivariate
analysis was used to determine the influence of gender, family and work experience on the level
of desirability, feasibility and entrepreneurial intention in 160 undergraduate students. The results
reveal that the students have a vague entrepreneurial intention. Gender, family and work
experience influence the intention to undertake a business. It is suggested to incorporate
entrepreneurial education programs in the dual training curriculum that will allow to encourage,
in addition to professional skills, entrepreneurial skills in students so that with the skills acquired
during their training they increase their attitude and attributes towards business creation.
