Resumen
The first years of life are essential for an aproppiate integrated development of children
because those are the moments they are exposed to a number of stimuli, which will
influence their growth whit activities that benefit their motor, social, cognitive, and
communicational skills. This will definitely have an impact on childrens future learning;
however, this might also be affected because of prenatal, perinatal, or postnatal factors.
Therefore, this study aims to identify the psychomotor development of the children
attending Bilingual School, using the Brunet-Lezine test.
General objective
To determine the psychomotor development of children attending Interamerican
Bilingual School.
Methodology
This is a descriptive and quantitative study. The purpose was to evaluate the
psychomotor development of four- to six -year-old children attending Interamerican
Bilingual School using the Brunet-Lezine test. The results were tabulated using the
statistical software IBM SPSS, version 22
Results
The results show that 47% of the participants were male, in regard to the socioeconomic
status, the middle level is prevalent at 82,4%; and 53,71% of their parents have been to
college. Finally, 96,25% of the participants show appropriate development, and 3,75%
show deficiency in their development.
