        Resumen
        Habits are behaviors that are constantly repeated by people, however, they are not innate, but are acquired according to the needs and development of the individual. Several investigations show that useful study habits such as: Planning and Environmental Conditions of the Study, Use of Material and Assimilation of Contents improve the quality of learning depending on how students put it into practice. Therefore, this research proposed as a general objective, to describe the study habits according to the sociodemographic variables of the first cycle students of the Degree in Psychology of the University of Cuenca in the period 2022 - 2023, as well as to identify the profile of study habits. study and describe the highest rated study habits of the students of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Cuenca. The study had a quantitative approach, a non-experimental type of design, cross-sectional and descriptive in scope. We worked with a population of 145 first cycle students of the Faculty of Psychology. The instrument that was applied was the Study Habits Inventory of Fernandez Pozar and the sociodemographic file made by the authors. As results, the description of the highest rated study habits and their profile was obtained, which can be used for future research and projects that allow the development of the categories detected in the analyzes carried out, thus approaching further research in relation to our environment. and community.
