This investigation is oriented to the register of the immaterial cultural heritage of the Cubijíes parish located in the Riobamba canton by means of the information collected with the index cards from the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INPC, for its acronym in Spanish), with the purpose of motivating the inhabitants of this parish to the conservation of their immaterial cultural heritage, especially to the present and future generations so that it allows to carry out its register in the SIPCE platform from the INPC. This parish, which is one of the most ancient villages of the Chimborazo province, is also known by its different habits and traditions, this is the reason of its name: “Cubijíes, land of musicians and craftsmanship” because of that great work by part of its inhabitants in trying to conserve the music and the art so that they can be transmitted through generations. The methodology of this investigation is qualitative and non-experimental, its main objective is the accumulation of information from several immaterial cultural heritages from Cubijíes by means of interviews that were aimed to the inhabitants of the parish, especially to the people of the third age (elderly), with the aim of obtaining more information from them since they have a better knowledge about culture and tradition of this parish, with this information the corresponding register in the index cards was analyzed and carried out.La presente investigación está orientada hacia el registro del patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la parroquia de Cubijíes, cantón Riobamba por medio de la recogida de información con las fichas del INPC, con el propósito de estimular a los habitantes de esta parroquia a la conservación de su patrimonio cultural inmaterial en especial a las actuales y futuras generaciones y con ello realizar el registro en la plataforma SIPCE del INPC. Esta parroquia aparte de ser conocida como uno de los pueblos más antiguos de la provincia de Chimborazo, es conocida también por sus diferentes costumbres y tradiciones y de allí su nombre ¨Cubijíes tierra de músicos y artesanía¨ por la gran labor por parte de sus habitantes en tratar de conservar la música y el arte y sea transmitida por generaciones. La metodología de esta investigación es de carácter cualitativo no experimental, que tiene como objetivo la acumulación de información de los diferentes patrimonios culturales inmateriales de Cubijíes por medio de las entrevistas que fueron dirigidas a los habitantes de la parroquia, especialmente a las personas de la tercera edad, con el objetivo de obtener más información proveniente de ellos ya que saben más de la cultura y tradición de esta parroquia y con ello se analizó y se realizó el correspondiente registro en las fichas.UNACH, Ecuador
