Resumen
In this thesis has developed two-dimensional flow analysis around three plans flotation of a vessel with two Chinese sardine, without considering the effect of free surface. Based on the literature review, described the phenomenon of generation of vortices around two-dimensional solid surfaces, to understand this phenomenon.
Mentioned flows were determined, first experiment with the LDA technique, recording the two components of velocity in the channel flow of FIMCM, the speed range tested was 0.04-0.6 m / sec and the three models used, wall vertical, were constructed of 40 cm in length, approximately. Then the numerical simulation program COMSOL, which spatially discretized the domain with the Finite Element method, was resolved Navier-Stokes equations.
For the analysis of results were plotted velocity distributions in vertical cuts at the entrance to the domain, Media Section, and in the stern section x = 5% L and another at 60 mm rearward of the former. In the stern section one notes the formation of the wake, as evidenced by a reduction in speed, which in some cases the change in direction, called the Counterflow. Experimental and Numerical Results showed both trend and very similar amplitudes, approaching with increasing velocity. So it has proved effective numerical method used in this case.
Finely pressures were integrated onto the surfaces of numerical models, and added the horizontal components, which corresponds to the residual strength to progress. There was much similarity in the trend of this force, at the waterline, including the Chinese.
