La accesibilidad web se refiere a la facilidad de que todas las personas puedan percibir, entender, navegar e interactuar con la web. Este trabajo realiza un análisis de accesibilidad para los usuarios con discapacidad visual, según norma ISO/IEC 40500, teniendo como casos de estudio las cinco universidades de Manabí. La metodología de este trabajo es descriptiva. Se emplea un análisis documental para analizar los criterios de la norma ISO / IEC 40500:2012 y comparar con los resultados de las páginas web empleando herramientas de evaluación de accesibilidad. Además, se encuestó a 15 estudiantes con deficiencias visuales de las universidades de Manabí: Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, Técnica de Manabí, Estatal del Sur, Politécnica de Calceta y San Gregorio de Portoviejo. Se concluye que las plataformas web de las universidades, necesitan evaluar mejor sus requerimientos en cuanto a perceptibilidad y considerar la inclusión de personas con discapacidad visual para que evalúen la accesibilidad de estas.
