The goal of the project was to design a housing system that would meet the needs of the poor in Ecuador. The investigation showed that housing needs to be composed of spaces suitable for different occupations. It is an investment that needs to generate an income. The homes need to be capable of expansion with the ability to grow horizontally or vertically over time. The construction system was chosen mainly because it offers a more durable product and because it facilitates vertical addition of floors.El objetivo del proyecto fue diseñar un sistema de vivienda que pueda satisfacer las necesidades de los pobres en el Ecuador. La investigación identificó que este tipo de vivienda requiere ser compuesta por espacios de distintas ocupaciones. Es una inversión que debe generar ingresos. Las casas necesitan expandirse horizontal y verticalmente con el tiempo. El sistema constructivo fue elegido principalmente por su durabilidad y por su posibilidad de crecer verticalmente. La etapa inicial sería financiada con el bono del estado, cubriendo un 70% del costo de la casa.
