Resumen
The present work was carried out in order to analyze the agronomic development of Brachiaria decumbens grass for grazing cattle in the Ecuadorian humid tropics, with the aim of analyzing the characteristics and properties of B. decumbens grass that serve to improve the feeding of the cattle. For this analysis, bibliographic information was collected from books, magazines, newspapers, scientific articles, web pages, presentations, conferences, technical manuals and expert judgment through virtual means. The information obtained was captured through the techniques of analysis, synthesis and summary, in order for the reader to know the importance of the use of forage species adaptable to certain livestock areas with appropriate management techniques for grazing. At the end of the work, it was obtained as a result that rotational grazing method fed to cattle with B. decumbens was the one with the highest production of forage both fresh and dry matter, obtaining a better nutritional quality, higher content of crude protein, minerals, fiber in neutral detergent and fiber.
