This research is carried out in order to recognize Montubia ancestral medicine as an attractiveness of health tourism in the province of Los Ríos, since it aims to analyze the incidence of ancestral medicine as an attractiveness of health tourism in the province of Los Ríos . It is important to have knowledge of traditional medicine in the province of Los Ríos, the places where it occurs, since traditional medicine has many benefits which contribute to health, prevent different diseases and even end the disease many times. The research techniques of this case study are based on: documented research and the survey was used as a technique to determine the ancestral Montubia medicine as an attractiveness for health tourism in the province of Los Ríos. In addition, a survey was conducted on the population of this province, which was chosen randomly. Es importante tener conocimiento de la medicina tradicional en la provincia de Los Ríos, los lugares en que se da, ya que la medicina tradicional tiene muchos beneficios los cuales aportan a la salud, a prevenir distintas enfermedades e inclusive termina muchas veces con la enfermedad. Las técnicas de investigación de este estudio de caso se basan en: investigaciones documentadas y se utilizó como técnica la encuesta para determinar la medicina ancestral montubia como atractivo de turismo de salud en la provincia de los Ríos. Además, se realizó una encuesta a la población de esta provincia, la cual fue escogida de manera aleatoria. La actividad turística tiene una estrecha relación con la medicina ancestral, porque está presente en las distintas comunidades, creando así un turismo medicinal que permite intercambiar con culturas, conocimiento entre los turistas y los pobladores de una comunidad.
