Resumen
The purpose of this paper is to develop the nursing care process in a 36-week-old premature infant who was diagnosed with respiratory distress syndrome due to clinical symptoms of intercostal retractions, nasal flaring, respiratory grunting, dyspnea, and thoracoabdominal dissociation. Vital signs were taken where a saturation of 82% was visualized, thus placing a nasal cannula at 2 liters per minute, to avoid dryness in the mucosa and endogenous hypothermia. Also a nasogastric and bladder tube with a collection bag to measure income and output. The patient was transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where he will be given strict monitoring of vital signs, emphasizing saturation and medication administration. The main objective of this clinical case study is the application of nursing care in conjunction with the Nanda (diagnosis), Nic (indicators) and Noc (interventions) taxonomy, to identify and treat the altered functional patterns of Marjorie Gordon which compromise the health and well-being of the patient. The main objective of this clinical case study is the application of nursing care in conjunction with the Nanda (diagnosis), Nic (indicators) and Noc (interventions) taxonomy, to identify and treat the altered functional patterns of Marjorie Gordon which compromise the health and well-being of the patient.
