This document was developed with the purpose of studying the benefits of rooting in the vegetative propagation of cuttings of Caña guadúa (Guadua angustifolia) in Ecuador. The objectives were to collect documentation on the rooting in the vegetative propagation of cuttings and establish the benefits of the rooting in the vegetative propagation of cuttings of Caña guadúa. The realization of this practical document was made based on the compendium of texts, magazines, newspapers, scientific articles, congresses, presentations, internet information. The information was submitted to the analysis technique - synthesis and summary on the benefits of the rooting in the vegetative propagation of cuttings of Caña guadúa (Guadua angustifolia). Based on the information gathered, it was determined that in the agronomic characteristics of plant height, root increase and increase in the thickness of the stem of guadua cane are obtained by applying rooting for the vegetative propagation of cuttings and when using hormone-based rooting, greater production is promoted. Caña guadúa, which will increase the economic benefits of the producers of this crop. Los objetivos planteados fueron recopilar documentación sobre los enraizantes en la propagación vegetativa de esquejes y establecer los beneficios de los enraizantes en la propagación vegetativa de esquejes de Caña guadúa. La realización del presente documento práctico se efectuó en función del compendio de textos, revistas, periódicos, artículos científicos, congresos, ponencias, información de internet. La información fue sometida a la técnica de análisis – síntesis y resumen sobre los beneficio de los enraizantes en la propagación vegetativa de esquejes de Caña guadúa (Guadua angustifolia). Por la información recopilada se determinó que en las características agronómicas de altura de planta, incremento de raíz y aumento del grosor del tallo de caña guadua se obtienen aplicando enraizantes para la propagación vegetativa de esquejes y al utilizar enraizantes a base de hormonas se promueve mayor producción de Caña guadúa, lo que logrará aumentar los beneficios económicos de los productores de este cultivo. Las recomendaciones planteadas fueron utilizar productos enraizantes a base de hormonas para incrementar los rendimientos del cultivo de Caña guadúa (Guadua angustifolia) en el Ecuador; promover el uso de enraizantes en la propagación vegetativa de esquejes de Caña guadúa y concientizar a los productores sobre el beneficio de enraizantes en los cultivos de esquejes.
