The present investigation was carried out with the objective of analyzing the traditional crops to contribute to the agro-tourism activity of the Urdaneta canton, through studying the agro-tourism potentialities to evaluate what should be implemented to increase tourism in the rural sector. La conservación de cultivos tradicionales depende de la conservación y aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales y el agricultor es factor importante para lograrlo, por eso se ha implementado realizar capacitación técnica para que desarrolle habilidades en donde pueda aplicar nuevas técnicas de cosecha y siembra para una mejor productividad para su crecimiento en el sector rural y consolidarlo a través de precios racionales para llevarlo al mercado agrícola generando ingresos económicos y la afluencia de turista a través de la actividad agro turística para lograr promocionar toda actividad agrícola que relacionen a los cultivos tradicionales y hacer hincapié a la conservación de los recursos naturales.
