This article is carried out in order to publicize how the social worker contributes incomplying with the principles of equality and non-discrimination in the educational field,taking into account that students often go through these situations and sometimes notThey have the necessary help to face that. The general objective of this research is toanalyze the role of the social worker in compliance with the principles of equality andnon-discrimination in the educational field of the Picoazá Educational Unit. Themethodology implemented was descriptive, with a quantitative approach. In turn, thetechnique of surveying teachers and parents was used, which helped to identify the roleof the social worker. The population was 135 people, there was no sample since 100% ofthe community was taken into account. The results were extremely important, as theydemonstrated that the role of the social worker is essential. It was concluded that the socialworker plays a significant role in the educational field, since, thanks to their support,students, teachers and parents feel more supported by knowing that they have one moresocial manager in each person's life.El presente artículo se realiza con el fin de dar a conocer, cómo aporta el trabajador socialen el cumplimiento de los principios de igualdad y no discriminación en el ámbitoeducativo, tomando en cuenta que los estudiantes muchas veces pasan por estassituaciones y en ocasiones no tienen la ayuda necesaria para afrontar aquello. El objetivogeneral de esta investigación, es analizar el rol del trabajador social en el cumplimientode los principios de igualdad y no discriminación en el ámbito educativo de la UnidadEducativa Picoazá. La metodología implementada fue descriptiva, con un enfoquecuantitativo. A su vez se empleó la técnica de la encuesta a los docentes y padres defamilia la que ayudó a identificar el rol del trabajador social. La población fue de 135personas, no hubo muestra puesto que, se tomó en cuenta al 100% de la comunidad. Losresultados fueron sumamente importantes, pues demostraron que el rol del trabajadorsocial es imprescindible. Se concluyó que el trabajador social desempeña un rolsignificativo en el ámbito educativo, puesto que, gracias a su apoyo, los estudiantes,docentes y padres de familia se sienten más respaldados al saber que tienen un gestorsocial más en la vida de cada persona.
