Esta investigación tuvo como finalidad, explicar la profundización de labores en mina Santa Bárbara de Trujillo con el diseño y construcción del inclinado IVP2, para la exploración y explotación de la veta Delicias en el nivel 4010; siendo de un método cuantitativo, de síntesis observacional, de tipo no experimental. Teniendo como muestra la zona Veta Delicias – Nivel 4010, de la Compañía minera Santa Bárbara de Trujillo. Debido a que los tajos actuales se vienen agotando por este motivo surge la necesidad de buscar nuevas reservas y se toma la decisión de realizar esta investigación para poder seguir con las operaciones mineras a corto plazo. Se realizó el estudio geo-mecánico del lugar donde se va a construir el inclinado “IVP2”, de la mina Santa Bárbara, con la finalidad de diseñar las labores de profundización. Se llevo a cabo el diseño del inclinado IVP2 de sección 3.0 m x 3.0 m, con un ángulo de inclinación de -10°, de 178m de longitud total. El Plan de ejecución de la infraestructura necesaria para la construcción del proyecto de profundización, se estimó un tiempo de 200 días para la realización de todas las obras del inclinado IVP2. El monto de la inversión total para la construcción del IVP2 es de S/775,818.58 producto de la evaluación económica de los precios unitarios. Se concluyo que la construcción del IVP2 debido a que la veta delicias tiene un Valor actual neto (VAN) de S/27,707,588.73 con una tasa de interés anual del 15%, es altamente rentable.The purpose of this research was to explain the deepening of work in the Santa Bárbara de Trujillo mine through the design and construction of the inclined IVP2 for the exploration, development, preparation, and exploitation of the Delicias vein at level 4010; being of a quantitative method, of observational synthesis, of a non-experimental type. Taking as a sample the Veta Delicias area - Level 4010, of the Santa Bárbara de Trujillo mining company. Because the current pits are running out for this reason, the need arises to increase the reserves and it is decided to carry out this investigation to continue with the mining operations in the future. The geo-mechanical mapping of the area where the inclined "IVP2" of the Santa Bárbara mine will be built was carried out, to design the deepening work. The design and construction of the inclined IVP2 with a section of 3.0 m x 3.0 m, with an inclination angle of -10°, with a total length of 178m, was carried out. The Execution Plan of the necessary infrastructure for the construction of the deepening project, a time of 200 days was estimated to carry out all the works of the inclined IVP2. The amount of the total investment for the construction of the IVP2 amounts to S/775,818.58 because of the economic evaluation of the unit prices. It was concluded that the construction of the IVP2, because the Delicias vein has a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/27,707,588.73 with an annual interest rate of 15%, is highly profitable
