The aim of this research was to determine zooplankton diversity in the marine ecosystems of Punta Chérrepe and Junco Marino, La Libertad during 2017. Samples were collected monthly in 12 stations per zone, by vertical tailings towards the surface with a 300μ net, then preserved with 4% formaldehyde, which were analyzed in the coastal laboratory of IMARPE - Huanchaco area of biology. For the qualitative analysis a stereoscope with incorporated camera and taxonomic keys were used. 172 zooplankton species belonging to Phyla Arthropoda, Annelida, Brachiopoda, Briozoa, Chaethognata, Chordatha, Nidaria, Ctenophora, Echinodermatha, Phoraminifera, Mollusca, Phoronida and Acuelomorpha were reported. The highest density was showed in September for both zones 422 866 ind / 12mᵌ in Junco Marino and 577 808 ind / 12mᵌ in Punta Chérrepe, the last one presenting higher density and volume with 1 824 294 ind / 18mᵌ and 21.04 ml/18mᵌ; also being the most diverse in station 8 with 3.92 bit / ind and in July with 3.71 bits / ind. As for the oceanographic parameters, the highest values were recorded in front of Punta Chérrepe, whose superficial and sub-surface sea temperature was 18.08 ºC and 17.68 ºC, the dissolved surface oxygen 3.95 ml/l and the sub-surface salinity 35.06 ups.El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar la diversidad del zooplancton en el ecosistema marino de Punta Chérrepe y Junco Marino, La Libertad durante 2017. Las muestras fueron colectadas mensualmente en 12 estaciones por cada zona, con una red de 300μ por jales verticales hacia la superficie, conservadas con formaldehido al 4%, las cuales fueron analizadas en el laboratorio costero de IMARPE- Huanchaco área de biología. Para el análisis cualitativo se usó un estereoscopio con cámara incorporada y claves taxonómicas. Se reportaron en Punta Chérrepe y en Junco Marino 172 especie de zooplancton de zooplancton pertenecientes a los Phyla Arthropoda, Annelida, Brachiopoda, Briozoa, Chaethognata, Chordatha, Nidaria, Ctenophora, Echinodermatha, Phoraminifera, Mollusca, Phoronida y Acuelomorpha. La mayor densidad se presentó en septiembre para ambas zonas 422 866 ind/12mᵌ en Junco Marino y 577 808 ind/12mᵌ en Punta Chérrepe, presentando esta última mayor densidad y volumen con 1 824 294 ind/18mᵌ y 21,04 ml/18mᵌ; siendo también la más diversa en la estación 8 con 3,92 bit/ind y en julio con 3,71 bits/ind. En cuanto a los parámetros oceanográficos, los valores más altos se registraron frente a Punta Chérrepe, cuya temperatura superficial y sub-superficial del mar fue 18,08 ºC y 17,68 ºC, el oxígeno disuelto superficial 3,95 ml/L y la salinidad sub-superficial 35,06 upsTesis
