| dc.description | Detect a discrepancy of the jaws in patients in growth is important, this allows us to make a timely intervention and redirect the growth of them, the functional devices are a good option for these cases. The patient presented at 12 years 5 months, about 1 month had presented her menarche, was diagnosed with a dolicho-facial biotype, skeletal and dental class II; with inclination of upper and lower incisors and one over vertical and horizontal bite increased, the treatment was with orthopedic phase. The results obtained were dental, skeletal and in profile. Dentally there was a retro superior inclination, the inferior indication remained and the overbite horizontal and vertical was decreased. Skeletally the jaw had an increase in length and the jaw dropped sagittally, and slightly changed the direction of growth. In profile there was a noticeable change in the decrease in facial convexity. In his panoramic one observed hypertrophic commits reason why it was sent to the otorhinolaryngologist. In the analysis of posture we find a decrease of anterior rotation of the skull, decrease of cervical lordosis and higher position of the hyoid. Concluding that, the use of Bionator in the growth stage in this clinical case had beneficial results for the patient. | |
| dc.description | Detectar una discrepancia de los maxilares en pacientes en Crecimiento es importante, esto nos permite hacer una intervención oportuna y redirigir el crecimiento de ellos, los aparatos funcionales son una buena opción para estos casos. La paciente se presentó a los 12 años 5 meses, hacia 1 mes que había presentado su menarca, fue diagnosticada con un biotipo dolicofacial, clase II esqueletal y dental; con inclinación de incisivos superiores e Inferiores y una sobre mordida vertical y horizontal aumentada, el tratamiento fue con fase ortopédica. Los resultados obtenidos fueron dentales, esqueletales y en el perfil. Dentalmente hubo una retro inclinación superior, se mantuvo la indicación inferior y se disminuyó la sobre mordida horizontal y vertical. Esqueletalmente la mandíbula tuvo un aumento de Longitud Y el maxilar descendió manteniéndose sagital mente, y cambió ligeramente la dirección de crecimiento. En perfil hubo un cambio notable de la disminución de convexidad facial. En su panorámica se observan cometes hipertróficos por lo que se remitió al otorrinolaringólogo. En el análisis de postura encontramos una disminución de rotación anterior del cráneo, disminución de lordosis cervical y posición más superior del hioides. Concluyendo que, el uso de Bionator en etapa de crecimiento en este case clínico tuvo resultados benéficos para la paciente. | |
