dc.description.abstractHuman birth, also called birth, is the culmination of human pregnancy until the period of the baby's exit from the womb. It is categorized by three phases: the effacement and dilation of the cervix, the descent and birth of the baby and the delivery of the placenta. The placenta is an indispensable organ in pregnancy. It has endocrine function and intervenes in fetal nutrition, in the control of the growth of the fetus and the regularization of its metabolism, making the functions of lung, intestine and fetal kidney.
