dc.description | "Goldenberry (Physalis peruviana L.) is a potential and alternative crop because it produces fruits of nutritional and medicinal quality, it has high value in the export market, and adapts to various conditions. The use of rhizobacteria in the greenhouse is a great option to increase the production and quality of the fruit with a reduction in chemical fertilization, so this work aims to determine the effect of rhizobacteria on the production and nutritional quality of goldenberry. The study was carried out in a greenhouse in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. The goldenberry was managed on 4 stems and drip irrigation. Two strains of rhizobacteria native to General Cepeda, Coahuila were applied (A1 and A2) applied in doses of 1x106, and a commercial strain (CS) Azospirillum brasilense, combined with different concentrations of Steiner's chemical fertilization (CF), 0, 50, and 100%, an absolute control and a CF control. The A2 strain without CF induced 34.7% greater weight compared to the treatment with only CF, and this combined with 50% of CF increased vitamin C (14.7%) and the concentration of phosphorus (17.1%) in fruit, unlike treatment with 100% CF and the control. Strain A1 without CF improved the concentration of potassium (21.8%) and magnesium (18.3%) compared to the treatment with only CF, and this combined with 50% of CF raised the Brix degrees by 11% compared to the treatment of 100% CF. That is why it is recommended to apply rhizobacteria and reduce CF, and thus produce nutritious goldenberry fruits in a sustainable way."
