| dc.description | "La Genética Cuantitativa estudia la herencia de características que se miden en una escala continua, como son el peso o la longitud de una planta o un animal. Se ha comprobado experimentalmente que éstas características comunmente están afectadas por un número (fijo pero des conocido) de pares de genes. En éste trabajo se estudia la posibilidad de estimar dicho parámetro.
Para ello, en el capítulo uno se presenta una breve reseña his tórica del problema, pasando a formular el modelo genético para el fenó meno en cuestión.
En el capítulo dos se plantea la contraparte estadística del - modelo, incluyendo las variables de interés, sus funciones de densidad así como sus esperanzas y varianzas. | dc.description | "Quantitative Genetics studies the inheritance of characteristics - which is a continuous scale, such as the weight or length of a plant or an animal. It has been experimentally proven that common characteristics are affected by a number (fixed but known) of gene pairs. In this work the possibility of estimating said parameter is studied.
To do this, chapter one presents a brief overview of the problem, going on to formulate the genetic model for the phenomenon of the man in question.
In chapter two the statistical counterpart of the model is presented, including the variables of interest, their density functions as well as their hopes and variances. Both the genetic and the statistical models imply a series of hypotheses that are made explicit with the way in which the presentation is developed." | |
