I thank the authorities of the Argentine Society of Diabetes (SAD) for the cordial invitation to summarize the most important milestones of my academic and scientific career. Telling the curriculum is a new challenge and it will be a new experience whose results are unknown (it usually happens in research!). The relationship with medicine begins in 1956, with my entry into the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of La Plata, and what happened can be divided into different types of events: academic, research, management and others.Agradezco a las autoridades de la Sociedad Argentina de Diabetes (SAD) por la cordial invitación a resumir los hitos más importantes de mi carrera académica y científica. Relatar el currículum es un nuevo desafío y será una experiencia nueva cuyos resultados son una incógnita (¡suele ocurrir en investigación!).
