El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar cómo se fue modificando, en la Argentina, la relación entre psiquiatría, psicología y psicoanálisis en el pasaje de la higiene mental a la salud mental, a lo largo de cuatro décadas. Con este fin, se pone el énfasis en el recorrido de un célebre psiquiatra, Enrique Pichon-Rivière, en la medida en que ilustra estas transformaciones de manera ejemplar. Luego de un inicio ligado a sociedades y publicaciones afines a la higiene mental, terminaría promoviendo una articulación de las distintas “disciplinas psi” con las ciencias sociales, cercana a las nuevas concepciones que acompañaron el surgimiento del movimiento de la salud mental.The goal of this paper is to show the transformation of the relationship between psychiatry, psychology and psychoanalysis, in Argentina, in the passage from mental hygiene to mental health, in a four-decade period. The trajectory of Enrique Pichon-Rivière, a famous psychiatrist, is highlighted, considering that it illustrates this transformation in an exemplary way. After his beginnings, close to the societies and publications of the mental hygiene movement, he would end up promoting an articulation of the different “psy disciplines” with the social sciences, in a manner that was related to the new ideas stemming from the mental health movement.Facultad de Psicología
