This paper develops an interpretive hermeneutic analysis, in which we argue that the paintings Hendita the white dove and Mita the black panther, created by Luqman Reza Mulyono (Jongkie) in 2015, represent ahybrid vision that links traditional aspects of animism with references of literature and mass culture. We base the above on the following: the paintings are inspired by the Animporphs books, written by KatherineApplegate; the representation takes up fundamentals of Indonesian animism; Finally, it is observed that these paintings are descriptive and correspond to the visual culture of their author.Este trabajo desarrolla un análisis de corte interpretativo hermenéutico, en el que argumentamos que las pinturas Hendita la paloma blanca y Mita la pantera negra, creadas por Luqman Reza Mulyono (Jongkie) en 2015, representan una visión híbrida que enlaza aspectos tradicionales del animismo con referentes de la literatura y la cultura de masas. Fundamentamos lo anterior en lo siguiente: las pinturas están inspiradas en los libros Animporphs, escritos por Katherine Applegate; la representación retoma fundamentos del animismo propio de Indonesia; finalmente, se observa que estas pinturas son de carácter descriptivo y mantienen correspondencia con la cultura visual de su autor.
