Sexual violence against children and adolescents has now become a topic of discussion and proposal by authors, national and international organizations seeking to provide solutions to guarantee the human rights of those who are the object of sexual violence, either at the family level or in education. The objective of this article focused on analyzing sexual violence in children and adolescents, to achieve this objective, a documentary study was carried out for which texts, scientific articles and the legal regulations of Ecuador were selected as a starting point for theoretical development. Theoretically it is based on the authors Pinheiro (2002), Solari (2018), Espejo (2015), and on the legal regulations of Ecuador, among others. The results derived from the theoretical analysis indicate that sexual violence is visualized as a global problem, where the victim is subjected by the perpetrator through various facts such as harassment and sexual abuse, which generates physical and psychological consequences that affect the integrality of children and adolescents as vulnerable people, such acts of sexual violence occur at the family level, in educational institutions, on the street. The State must guarantee through routes and protocols that such acts do not go unpunished without the application of the laws established as public policies.La violencia sexual en niños, niñas y adolescentes en la actualidad se ha convertido en un tema de discusión y propuesta por autores, organismos nacionales, internacionales en búsqueda de aportar soluciones en pro de garantizar los derechos humanos de quienes son objetos de hechos de violencia sexual, ya sea a nivel familiar o en el ámbito educativo. El objetivo de este artículo se centró en analizar la violencia sexual en niños, niñas y adolescentes; para lograr dicho objetivo se efectúo un estudio documental para lo cual se seleccionó textos, artículos científicos y la normativa legal del Ecuador como punto de partida para el desarrollo teórico. Teóricamente se fundamentó en los autores Pinheiro (2002), Solari (2018), Espejo (2015).  Los resultados derivados del análisis teórico indican que la violencia sexual es visualizada como una problemática mundial, donde la víctima es sometida por el victimario mediante diversos hechos como el acoso, abuso sexual, etc., lo cual genera consecuencias físicas, psicológicas que afectan la integralidad de niños, niñas y adolescentes como personas vulnerables, dichos hechos de violencia sexual ocurren  a nivel familiar, en instituciones educativas, en la calle, etc.  El Estado deber garantizar a través de rutas y protocolos que estos hechos  que atentan contra la integridad, no queden impunes,  sin la aplicación de las leyes establecidas como políticas públicas.
