Embarazo adolescente y su influencia en la interrupción de la trayectoria educativa

Abstract

El presente documento hace referencia a la interrupción de las trayectorias educativas en las adolescentes madres. Se considera de suma importancia el abordaje de la temática ya que diversas Instituciones trabajan en conjunto para crear Políticas Públicas focalizadas en el embarazo adolescente y la educación; y como estas impactan en la población objetivo. A pesar de esto se observa una marcada interrupción de las trayectorias educativas en las adolescentes que son madres. Dentro del marco de las investigaciones ya realizadas sobre el tema a desarrollar se observa el análisis únicamente del porcentaje de la interrupción de las trayectorias educativas de esta población, sin focalizarse en los causales de la misma. Por esto este trabajo hace hincapié en investigar los motivos que llevan a las adolescentes madres a abandonar el sistema educativo y otros factores que pueden influir o no en este ámbito. El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer si el embarazo en las adolescentes se encuentra relacionado con la interrupción de las trayectorias educativas. Dicha investigación implica un análisis cualitativo, experimental, de corte transversal, analítico y retrospectivo en el cual se realizó entrevistas semi - estructuradas con 9 preguntas relacionadas con el embarazo, el apoyo y la interrupción de sus trayectorias educativas. Se entrevistó a 10 adolescentes entre 15 y 19 años internadas en las salas de Puerperio en el Centro Hospitalario Pereira Rossell (CHPR). Se realizó un análisis de contenido donde se focalizo en tres dimensiones, siendo éstas Adolescencia y Apoyo, Embarazo Adolescente y Trayectorias Educativas y el terceto El Conocimiento de las Adolescentes de las Políticas Públicas. Como conclusiones del análisis podemos visualizar que: En la población entrevistada se llegó a la conclusión que el principal motivo de interrupción de sus trayectorias educativas fue el embarazo. A pesar de este hecho, cada participante refiere contar con apoyo para continuar sus estudios, sin embargo, este no impidió la interrupción. Se destaca en este trabajo que el deseo de retomar sus estudios se vio manifestado en todas las adolescentes. Sin embargo la mayoría expresaron que el mismo será aplazado por la maternidad y lo que esto conlleva; por ejemplo el crecimiento de sus hijos y tener un apoyo real que la acompañe en el momento que ellas decidan retomar. Como se mencionó anteriormente acerca de las Políticas Públicas existentes, se vio un marcado desconocimiento por parte de la población encuestada.

This document refers to the interruption of educational trajectories in teenage mothers. It is extremely important to approach this topic since several institutions work together to create Public Politics focusing on teenage pregnancy and education; and how this impacts the target population. Despite that, there is a noticeable interruption of the educational trajectories of teenage mothers. Within the framework of the research already done in the subject to be developed, it is only observed the analysis of the percentage of the interruption of educational trajectories of this population, without focusing on the causes of it. This is why this work emphasizes investigating the reasons that lead teenage mothers to abandon the educational system and other factors that may or may not influence this area. The objective of this work is to know if pregnancy in teenagers is related to the interruption of educational trajectories. This investigation involves a qualitative, experimental, cross-sectional, analytical and retrospective analysis in which semi-structured interviews were conducted with 9 questions related to pregnancy, support and interruption of their educational trajectories. 10 teenagers between 15 and 19 years old hospitalized in the puerperium rooms at the Pereira Rossell Hospital Center (CHPR) were interviewed. A content analysis was done focusing on three dimensions, being them about Teenage and Support, Teenage Pregnancy and Education Trajectories, and the third one about Teenager’s Knowledge of Public Politics. To conclude this analysis we can visualize that: In the population interviewed it was concluded that the main reason of the interruption of their education trajectories was pregnancy. Despite this fact, each participant reported having support to continue their studies; however this did not prevent the interruption. It is highlighted in this work that the desire to resume their studies has been manifested in all teenagers. However, most of them expressed that they will pospone their studies due to motherhood and what it entails; for example the growth of their children and having a real support to accompany them at the moment they decide to pick it up. As mentioned earlier about the existing Public Policies, there is a strong lack of knowledge on the interviewed population.
