The propose of this article is to offer the first results of the students that begin their education at the University about their perceptions for the: Literary text reading and the use of internet and social networks. The diagnoses was made in a group of 31 students of Education, mention Spanish and Literature career of the Los Andes University, "Dr. Pedro Rincon Gutierrez" center and this is a progress of the research Literary text development in the students of Education, mention Spanish and Literature with the support of social network Facebook. The collected info was found thanks to questionnaire app with eighteen items, analyzed by the SPSS V20 program. The answers let to know the important of the lecture and the use of internet for the students join with the literature understanding apps and recourses.Este artículo tiene el propósito de ofrecer los primeros resultados en cuanto a las percepciones de estudiantes universitarios en torno a la lectura de textos literarios, el ingreso a Internet y las redes sociales. El diagnóstico se efectuó a un grupo de 31 estudiantes de la carrera Educación mención Español y Literatura, de la Universidad de Los Andes, núcleo Dr. Pedro Rincón Gutiérrez, y constituye un adelanto de investigación titulada Promoción del texto literario en los estudiantes de Educación mención Español y Literatura con apoyo de la red social Facebook. La información recopilada fue obtenida por medio de la aplicación de un cuestionario compuesto por 18 ítems, analizados con el programa SPSS V20. Las respuestas obtenidas permiten conocer la importancia que tienen para los estudiantes tanto la lectura de los textos literarios como el ingreso a Internet en la comprensión de la literatura.
