In the late eighteenth century in our country, and it shows a concern for the technical study of medicine. By the year 1792, founded by Unanue Anatomical Amphitheatre San Andrés temple where it was to teach the morphology, the science of Luzzi and Vesalio. The following year, Unanue begins a cycle of clinical conferences, in which they took part Valdés, Villalobos, Cosme Bueno, Vergara y Puente. For the first time, following the educational trends of leydediana and Viennese School, is at stake this academic attempt, as a way to interest young people in the Hippocratic studies. This natural and scientific currents coming illustration, prepares the creation of the School of Medicine.A fines del siglo XVIII en nuestro medio, se nota ya una preocupación por el estudio técnico de la medicina. Por el año de 1792, se funda por Unanue el Anfiteatro Anatómico de San Andrés, templo donde se iba a enseñar la morfología, la ciencia de Luzzi y de Vesalio. Al año siguiente, Unanue inicia un ciclo de Conferencias clínicas, en las que tomaron parte Valdés, Villalobos, Cosme Bueno, Vergara y Puente. Por primera vez, siguiendo las corrientes pedagógicas de las Escuelas leydediana y vienesa, se pone en juego este intento académico, como una forma de interesar a la juventud por los estudios hipocráticos. Todo ello y las corrientes científico-naturales que vienen de la ilustración, prepara la creación de la Escuela de Medicina.
