dc.descriptionThis paper aims to discuss the political uses of the concept of “drugg-trafficking” constitu­ted by Felipe Calderón in the context of the Mexican Drug War. By identifying conceptual transformations in a short period of time, it shows that through the representation that the president made of “narcotráfico” in his speeches, he articulated his government policies, subordinating virtually all other problems. Finally, it discusses the viability of thinking that with Calderón a current and conflicting conceptual moment was established, marked by the political vision of solving the problems of Public and National Security with puni­tive and coercive practices, rather than with measures based on structural analysis.en-US
dc.descriptionEste trabajo tiene como objetivo discutir sobre las funciones políticas que tuvo el concep­to de “narcotráfico” constituido por Felipe Calderón en el contexto de la Guerra contra el Narcotráfico. Identificando las transformaciones conceptuales en un breve periodo de tiempo, se muestra que a través de la representación que el mandatario hizo del “narcotrá­fico” en sus discursos, articuló sus políticas de gobierno, subordinando prácticamente to­dos los demás problemas. Finalmente, se discute la viabilidad de pensar que con Calderón se instituyó un momento conceptual vigente y en conflicto, marcado por la visión política de resolver los problemas de Seguridad Pública y Nacional con prácticas punitivas y coer­citivas, antes que con medidas que partan de análisis estructurales.es-ES
