dc.descriptionIn this article we reflect on the Mexican student outbreak that culminated in the 1968 Tla­telolco slaughter, as well as on its historical significance, recognizing certain identitarian features that define it. That definition is given by its desire for independence in relation to established institutions and powers, its defense of a generational difference, its appropria­tion of the truths of democracy and social justice, and its transience. Likewise, we pro­pose that the event of ‘68 and its actions have become milestones of a common memory.en-US
dc.descriptionEn este artículo reflexionamos tanto sobre el estallido estudiantil mexicano que culminó en 1968 con la matanza de Tlatelolco, como sobre su significación histórica, reconociendo ciertos rasgos identitarios que lo definen. Esa definición está dada por su voluntad de independencia en relación con las instituciones y poderes establecidos, su defensa de una diferencia generacional, su apro­piación de las verdades de la democracia y de la justicia social y su fugacidad. Igualmente, plan­teamos que el evento del 68 y sus acciones se han vuelto hitos de una memoria común.es-ES
