dc.description.abstractThe suitability of the term personality is examined for identifying phenomena within the psychology theory. It stresses that the term commonly makes reference to each individual idiosyncratic way of behavior. The proposal is to use me interactive style concept to analyze the personal consistencies in behavior as the outcome of the biography of the person. The concept of style is examined as a behavioral trend and its insertion within me dispositional categories. A situational taxonomy is tentatively proposed to evaluate tile interactive styles, defined in terms of contingency properties. Several experiments are reviewed, using open contingency tasks in which interactive styles in risk situations and also perseverance of achievement, such as constant profiles between situations and periods have been identified.
