OBJETIVO: El objetivo de este estudio es construir un modelo sistémico para
evaluar la viabilidad institucional en la realización de eventos del Turismo de
Reuniones (TR) en México, teniendo en cuenta la complejidad del sistema.
DISEÑO, METODOLOGÍA, ENFOQUE: La investigación se define como
pragmática, interpretativa, se analiza mediante una combinación metodológica en
la que se presenta coo aporte de esta investigación, la combinación de la
Metodología de Sistemas Suaves (SSM) y el Modelo de Sistema Viable (VSM).
Para la recopilación de datos, se define como una investigación exploratoria en la
que se obtuvieron datos secundarios de la industria del Turismo de Reuniones.
RESULTADOS: Como resultado, se tiene la identificación de todos aquellos
agentes que conforman al TR en México, con el cual se generó un diagnóstico de
la situación actual del segmento. Como parte del diagnóstico, se identificaron las
relaciones del sistema en sus distintos niveles de recursión, incluyendo aquellas
favorables, de conflicto e incluso las inexistentes y necesarias para su
funcionamiento, abarcando la totalidad del sistema.
Por otro lado, se generó un modelo de viabilidad a fin de dirigir la estructura
organizacional del TR en México. Estas herramientas resultan ser útiles, de
acuerdo con el objetivo de la investigación.
LIMITACIONES DE LA INVESTIGACIÓN Y/O IMPLICACIONES: Esta
investigación estuvo limitada por la accesibilidad de los datos en México para
generar la investigación, así como por el cambio de actores clave en las
instituciones que gobiernan el turismo MICE en México al momento de la
ejecución de este proyecto. De la misma manera, se trata de un estudio de caso
limitado al contexto mexicano.
ORIGINALIDAD: Desde el enfoque teórico - conceptual, este trabajo contribuye al
estado del arte del turismo MICE en el mundo, en el que hay pocas
contribuciones, pero principalmente en México, que carece de estudios sobre el
tema. Por otro lado, desde el enfoque técnico - metodológico, el estudio realiza un
análisis institucional desde un enfoque estructural, diferente de los enfoques
metodológicos que se han utilizado
ABSTRACT:
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study is to build a systemic model to evaluate the
institutional viability in the realization of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and
Events (MICE) in Mexico, taking in consideration the complexity of the system.
DESIGN, METHODOLOGY, APPROACH: The research is defined as pragmatic,
interpretive. It is analyzed through a methodological mix in which the contribution of
this research is presented, the combination of the Soft Systems Methodology
(SSM) and the Viable System Model (VSM). For the collection of data, it is defined
as an exploratory investigation in which secondary data of the meetings tourism
industry were obtained.
RESULTS: As a first result, using the first three steps of the SSM, we have the
identification of all the agents that make up the MICE tourism in Mexico and the
diagnosis of the current situation of this tourist activity. As part of the diagnosis, the
relationships of the system are identified in the different levels of recursion,
including those favourable, those of conflict and those inexistent and needed for
the function of the system covering the wholeness of the activity.
On the other hand, as a complement to the use of SSM, the VSM was used to
generate a model to manage the organizational structure of the MICE tourism in
Mexico. These tools proved to be useful for the research and once complementary.
LIMITATIONS OF THE RESEARCH: This research was limited by the accessibility
of data in Mexico to generate the research as well as the change of key actors in
the institutions that govern MICE tourism in Mexico. In the same way, it is a case
study limited to the Mexican context.
ORIGINALITY: From the theoretical - conceptual approach, this work contributes
to the State of the art of the MICE tourism in the world, in which there are few
contributions but mainly in Mexico, that has a lack of studies on the subject. On the
other hand, from the technical - methodological approach, the study makes an
institutional analysis from a structural approach, different from the methodological
approaches that have been used. | |
