Efectos en playas las glorias causados por la construcción del espigón al modificar el transporte litoral

Abstract

RESUMEN: Playa Las Glorias, es el centro de recreación más importante del Municipio de Guasave, Sinaloa, a lo largo de dos décadas la línea de playa se ha recorrido, perdiéndose más de 140 m de playa. En afán de recuperar terreno, en 2006 se construyó un espigón en La Bocanita, sin embargo, la erosión continúa. El objetivo de este trabajo fue conocer el posible impacto de la construcción del espigón sobre el cambio en la dinámica hidrológica del sistema. Durante 2008 y 2009, se realizaron estudios de línea de costa, sedimentología que incluyó la determinación de granulometría y de carbonatos, corrientes, mareas, batimetría del canal, fotografías aéreas e imágenes de satélite, cabe señalar que en este trabajo de tesis sólo se presentan los resultados más sobresalientes.

ABSTRACT: Playa Las Glorias is the largest recreation center in the municipality of Guasave, Sinaloa, over two decades the waterfront has been covered, losing more than 140 meters of beach. In effort to catch up, in 2006 we built a breakwater at La Bocanita, however, the erosion continues. The aim of this study was to determine the possible impact of the construction of the breakwater on the change in the hydrological dynamics of the system. During 2008 and 2009, we done studies of coastline, sedimentology including the determination of particle size and carbonate, currents, tides, channel bathymetry, aerial photographs and satellite images, it is noted in this thesis is only outstanding achievement.
