| dc.description | This article aims to reflect on the migration phenomena and the legal and social concepts of the different migrant’ “categories” in light of the international human rights law, making emphasis on the progresses and the pending challenges. Also, taking into consideration the International Convention on the Rights of Migrant Workers and their Families and the work of the Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants, the ultimate goal of this paper is to identify the vulnerabilities affecting the migrant population, especially women and children, and the challenges for a global governance in this area. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente artículo tiene por objetivo problematizar el fenómeno de la migración y las categorías de migrantes como concepto jurídico y social, a la luz del derecho internacional de los derechos humanos, haciendo énfasis en los avances y los retospendientes. Así, con el eje en la Convención Internacional sobre los Derechos de los Trabajadores Migratorios y sus Familias, y retomando la labor de la relatoría especial sobre los derechos humanos de los migrantes, se pretende identificar las vulnerabilidades que afectan a la población migrante, especialmente a las mujeres y a los niños, así como los desafíos de una gobernanza global en la materia. | es-ES |
