El turismo para Mayores: una inversión que requiere formación

Abstract

Se inicia con una contextualización del envejecimiento poblacional, sus causas y consecuencias entre las que se pueden visualizar desafíos y oportunidades para el sector turístico. Se brinda un perfil necesidades e intereses de la persona turista adulta mayor y de las características de los servicios que se les pueden brindar. Además, se hace énfasis en la necesidad de formación del personal turístico y los temas gerontológicos básicos que debe recibir.

It begins with a contextualization of population aging, its causes and consequences, among which challenges and opportunities for the tourism sector can be visualized. A profile of the needs and interests of the elderly tourist and the characteristics of the services that can be provided is provided. In addition, emphasis is placed on the need for training of tourist personnel and the basic gerontological issues that they should receive.
