In this essay, I try to present some preliminary inquiries and reflections on the necessary theoretical and methodological frame for the beginning of my PhD research. The text is mostly a set of problems and intersections I am facing (especially the Classical Studies’ Coloniality) and it ends with a conclusion about the decolonial implications of the research on Antiquity happening in the Global South. I present the train of thought of this first semester of the PhD Studies.Neste ensaio me proponho a apresentar algumas indagações e reflexões preliminares relativas ao arcabouço teórico-metodológico necessário para a fase inicial da pesquisa de doutorado que venho desenvolvendo. O texto é, majoritariamente, um apanhado de problemas e encruzilhadas com as quais venho me deparando (em especial a Colonialidade dos Estudos Clássicos) e termina com uma conclusão sobre as implicações decoloniais de a pesquisa em Antiguidade (e discursos relacionados) se fazer no Sul Global. Apresento a linha de raciocínio traçada durante o primeiro semestre do doutorado.
