Resumen
The objective of this work was to identify and characterize the environmental impacts, for the assessment of the conservation status of the hydrographic basin of the Melancias stream and the Interlagos Lagoon, in the municipality of Montes Claros-MG and proposition of mitigating measures for its recovery and preservation. The methods used to assess environmental impacts were Ad Hoc, Interaction Matrices and Interaction Networks Site visits and the application of environmental impact assessment methods made it possible to carry out the identification and characterization of impacts, in addition to providing for their assessment. Due to the population growth and the urbanization process that this microbasin suffers, there was a predominance of negative impacts and the most severe being
deforestation, illegal extraction and the improper disposal of solid waste. Mitigation measures, compensatory measures and potentializing measures for the observed environmental impacts were proposed. It was possible to conclude that a large part of thenegative impacts occurred in the biotic environment, while the predominance of positive impacts occurred in the anthropic environment.
