Resumen
Public spaces, although supposedly equally accessible, offer possibilities for more or less restrictive enjoyment and occupation, depending on the groups placed there. The city, as a reflection of the prevailing social ideas and values, has in heterosexuality the legitimate and morally constituted norm, which shapes not only ways of thinking, but also the behaviors exposed in public spaces, with urban life reflecting culture. The main objective of the article is to present counter-hegemonic narratives about urban living. For that, such narratives were mapped through experiences of LGBT + people, in the space-time context of the Street Carnival in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais / Brazil. Cartography as a method allowed the production of subjective data that led to a debate inspired by the action of the Situationist International, which sought experimental constructions of moments and environments guided by desires that transform passive normality in everyday life. In this way, it is sought to show, through the narratives, that the Street Carnival establishes a space-time where the dominant discourse of heteronormativity is questioned, providing a transformed urban experience in relation to that experienced in the usual routine.
