Resumen
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a disease that affects more than 80% of the population over 55 years. About 9 million people suffer from knee OA, confirmed radilogicamente. Studies have shown that mechanical stimulation produced by low intensity ultrasonic energy promotes chondrogenesis in cultured cells in animal models, having a reparative potential in human cartilage lesions. The objective of this review is to check what's more recent literature on the effectiveness of therapeutic ultrasound in pain and function in patients with OAJ. This revision to analyze the effect of Ultrasound in individuals with OAJ found mixed results, which can be justified by the way each held treatment. One can not say the effectiveness, because not all studies report the intensity and time of ultrasound used in addition to variation in tratamento.Conclusão time: What can we resaltar the OAJ has good clinical response to treatments offered when in degree leads to moderate.
