Dengue is currently considered a major arbovirus affecting humans which
Primary Care has a great responsibility in the control and prevention. For
qualifying educational activities related to dengue, it is essential to know the
perception of the population on the municipal campaigns, conducted mainly by
the health department with the participation of Family Health Teams (FHT). This
study aimed to review the measures of prevention and control of dengue and to
discuss the role of Primary Care in the control and prevention of dengue. The
study was conducted through a literature review of the narrative type. Among
the proposed actions for coping with the disease are lectures in schools,
marches throughout the neighborhood, joint efforts to clean the yards,
involvement of other segments of civil society organizations, academics
highlighted healthcare, continuing education for health professionals in
especially the Community Health Agents (ACS) and Endemic Control Agents
(ACE) and participation of public agencies in the prevention and control of
dengue. It was concluded that , while understanding how to avoid the disease
focus, not always the community uses the correct technique and often do not ,
highlighting the need to plan strategies that co - accountable and develop
greater awareness and training about this act important to control the disease in
the district of Cardosos.
